Get on your bike and you could win up to £250! Cycling is booming across the UK. So the Cycle Selfie competition simply asks cyclists to post a photo of themselves online with their bicycles.

Insurance company Urban Jungle launched the photography competition to uncover the stories and experiences of a new generation of cyclists.

Jimmy Williams is CEO of Urban Jungle, which provides insurance to Millennials and ‘Generation Rent’. He says, “We’ve been watching the phenomenal growth of cycling over the last few months. We are a company of cycling enthusiasts – many of us regularly cycle to work.

“We want to uncover the individual stories of the people who, like us, have a strong passion for cycling. There are so many benefits, from increasing your own fitness levels to reducing pollution.”

  • One winner will receive a £250 Amazon voucher
  • Four runners-up will receive £50 Amazon vouchers
  • Ten shortlisted entrants will receive a 10% discount on one year’s contents insurance from Urban Jungle.

To enter, post a photo of yourself and your bike on the site by midnight on Friday, September 18, 2020.

Breathtaking sights without the crowds

Driving experts from LeaseCar.uk have researched and revealed some of the most remarkable sights and locations in England and Wales – which will only cost the fuel it takes to drive there.

Instead of heading for crowded tourist sites like Brighton Pier and the London Eye (and struggling to park), why not seek out the scenic nooks and crannies of the UK for a unique experience?

Thornton-le-Dale, Yorkshire

Often described as being the world’s most picturesque village, Thornton-le-Dale is everything you could want from a quintessential English village.

With its olde worlde charm and scenic surroundings, its easy to see why visitors and residents have voted it the prettiest in Yorkshire – on more than one occasion. Nestled on the southern edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, it’s the perfect location for a day visit or holiday.

The Devil’s Appendix, Snowdonia, Wales

The Devil’s Appendix is the tallest single-drop waterfall in Wales and one of the tallest in the United Kingdom. It is formed where a small stream falls for approximately 93 metres to reach the slopes above a small lake called Llyn Idwal.

Wistman’s Wood, Devon

This amazing woodland, which takes its name from a small oak wood, looks like something taken straight from a fairy tale.

Ramble the easy quarter-mile walk on a waymarked path from the Two Bridges Hotel and creep beneath the trees’ lichen-covered boughs that have remained unspoiled for hundreds of years. Legend has it that Wistman’s Wood was a sacred grove of the Druids, and that it was here that they held their pagan rituals.
