Celebrity Siblings And Their Unbreakable Bonds

It’s national siblings day, so let’s celebrate the firm friendships born between our favourite celebrity brothers and sisters.

Kate and Pippa Middleton

Following Princess Kate’s marriage to Prince William, the Middleton sisters immediately became fashion icons for their elegant and sophisticate style choices.

Although Kate’s younger sister Pippa has mostly avoided the limelight ever since the royal wedding – possibly due to the tabloid’s odd obsession with her bum – the pair are considered to be the best of friends. In fact, they were roommates and prolific party girls during their 20s, which were spent in affluent Chelsea, London.

And who can forget when they both fell pregnant around the same time in 2018! It’s also been revealed that they gave their daughters the same middle name, Elizabeth.

The Nolan Sisters

Not just siblings but one of the most popular pop groups of the 1970s. Sisters Anne, Denise, Maureen, Linda, Bernie, and later Coleen enjoyed chart success with hits like “I’m in the Mood for Dancing,” leaving a lasting mark on music.

Sadly, four of the sisters have been diagnosed with cancer, with Bernie passing away in 2013. The overarching family history tells a generally tragic story and their exploitative music career left them with very little money to show for it. Despite a number of fallings out, the sisters have mostly reconciled and moved past family feuds in order to support one another.

Coleen Nolan is probably the most famous sister now as she regularly appears on Loose Women.

Despite being regarded as two of the best tennis players from the past two decades who were often in direct competition, there’s truly no serious sibling rivalry here.

They have met 31 times in professional tournaments, Serena leading 19–12. The last time they played together in a Grand Slam tournament was the 2022 U.S. Open.

There’s really no bad blood nor is their any poor sportsmanship between the sisters. Reportedly after losing at Wimbledon to Garbiñe Muguruza, Venus even messaged her younger sister and tennis champ for support. She wrote: “I miss you. I tried my best to do the same things you do, but I think there will be other opportunities.”

Laila Morse and Gary Oldman

Eastenders’ actress Laila Morse is best known for playing Big Mo, and she is also the older sister of Oscar-winner Gary Oldman.

Their family-life doesn’t often make the headlines and the pair are fairly private but they’re considered to be as close as most siblings are.

We got a peek into their family Christmas in 2018 when Laila shared photos on her Instagram of her and brother Gary Oldman with his wife Gisele.

Life for the children of celebrities is already strange enough, but growing up the daughters of the President of the United States must be a particularly tough experience.

Malia and Sasha Obama grew up in the public eye when Barack Obama served as president from 2009 to 2017. But with two such grounded parents such as power couple Michelle and Barack Obama, the sisters successfully formed a strong and unbreakable bond, which has helped them handle the media attention.

In 2022, Michelle Obama said her two daughters left the nest and are now living together in Los Angeles. Malia, 25, is currently working in television while Sasha, 22, recently graduated from the University of California.
