October 18 on Disney+

Set in the fictional English county of Rutshire and concerning the social elite of the 19080s.

This new eight-part series follows the story of two powerful men, MP Rupert Campbell-Black (Hassell) and Lord Tony Baddingham (Tennant), whose rivalry that seeps into the world of Corinium television station.

Speaking previously about the adaptation of her Rutshire Chronicles novel, author Jilly Cooper said: “I’m utterly enchanted to be able to announce our all-star line-up for Rivals.

“Featuring some of the best acting talent that the British Isles has to offer, I couldn’t have dreamed of a better ensemble cast. I cannot wait to be on set and see them bring the characters I love so much to life.”


Absolutely Fabulous Inside Out

October 17 on Gold

Celebrate one of Britain’s most-loved comic creations in this retrospective one-off documentary!

Set in the glamourous world of 90s fashion PR, Absolutely Fabulous – or “Ab Fab” – was filled with biting satire and shock value humour. Today it’s considered a bit of a cult classic.

Jennifer Saunders, Dame Joanna Lumley, Julia Sawalha and Jane Horrocks reunite to share stories and secrets from backstage that have  gone unheard until now.

Fans can expect an extra treat as the original episodes will air exclusively every night at 9pm weeknights in October.

Simone Biles: Rising Season 2

October 25 on Netflix

Following a hiatus Olympic gymnast Simone Biles returned to this year’s Games in Paris.

The four-time Olympic gold medallist dropped out of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which were postponed to 2021 due to the covid pandemic. Fans were equally shocked and impressed by the way Simone abruptly left to look after her mental health despite being a front-runner for golds.

In the first instalment, the athlete explained in detail why her gut-feeling was to step back.  The documentary was a refreshing behind-the-scenes look at how she now balances her personal life, mental health journey while training for the 2024 Olympics.

Part two will follow Biles as she makes the US Olympic Team at the 2024 Trials, we’ll watch her arrival in Paris for the Games, and her incredible trail blazing journey to becoming the most decorated gymnast in history.


The Great British Bake Off 2024

September 24 – new episode every Tuesday in October, Channel 4

The Great British Bake Off has returned! Time to cosy up and watch some baking disasters and show-stopping wins from some of the nation’s most passionate amateur bakers.

Can you believe it’s now the fifteenth series as twelve new bakers enter the famous white tent.
Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith continue as judges and hosts Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond return to host.
