Kate Returned To Wimbledon And William Enjoyed Euro 2024 Final
It was a busy weekend for the royals! Kate returned to Wimbledon and was greeted by standing ovation, while William supported England at the Euro 2024 final and consoled the team captain on their loss.
Princess Kate returned to Wimbledon on Sunday for the men’s singles final between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic.
As she arrived with her daughter Princess Charlotte and sister Pippa Middleton, the crowd gave them a standing ovation. This warm welcome left them all grinning.
This was Kate’s second public appearance since her cancer diagnosis earlier this year.
In June, the Princess of Wales returned to public duties by appearing at Trooping the Colour. Around this time, she also release a statement saying she was making “good progress” but was “not out of the woods yet”.
Watch as the Princess of Wales returned to Wimbledon and was greeted by a standing ovation
Kate appeared well at Wimbledon – all smiles and giggles with Princess Charlotte and the tennis players she met with. The Princess of Wales also appeared to be explaining to an enthusiastic young Charlotte some of the technical aspects of the match.
After enjoying the match, Princess Kate stepped out on the court and presented the singles trophy to winner Alcaraz, who retained his title against seven-times Wimbledon winner Djokovic.
Now that Kate has returned to Wimbledon and other official duties, here’s hoping we see much more of the family enjoying time together again as the Princess makes a full recovery.
Prince William and his eldest son Prince George jetted off to Germany to watch England in the Euro 2024 final
Just hours after Kate glowed at Wimbledon, The Prince of Wales touched down at Olympiastadion in Berlin accompanied by his son Prince George. Together they watched England play in the final Euro 2024 match against Spain.
Captured in photographs that weren’t broadcast on the night, Prince William appears to be explaining the rules of the game to George. Just like mum Kate sat answering all Charlotte’s questions about tennis.
Later on the pair were spotted discussing the play in real-time and were then snapped hugging and bonding over England’s goal score.
As the game intensified in the second half and England began to lose, like father like son they comically mirrored each other’s shock and disappointment.
After England lost 2-1 to Spain, Prince William consoled England captain Harry Kane as the team did the rounds shaking hands.
For any royal fans who were worried about Prince Louis’ absence, Kate shared a photograph today of him and his older sister Charlotte enjoying the match from the comfort of home and in their personalised England shirts.
It’s no secret that the royals, particularly Kate and William, are a sporty bunch. It seems like this weekend was a welcomed distraction from the family’s ongoing health concerns.
