Celebs Team Up For Children’s Charity Secret Santa
Children’s charity Action for Children are thrilled to announce their Secret Santa campaign for Christmas 2020.
This year, their launch includes a series of charity jumpers and some very special celebrity collaborations with Ore Oduba, Nadia Sawalha, Dr Ranj, Olivia and Alex Bowen, Debbie Bright and Paige Turley.
Other talent supporting the Secret Santa campaign include Strictly’s Neil Jones, Eyal Booker, Laura Anderson, Helen Flanagan, Laura Hamilton, Ali Bastian and Miles Nazaire.
Secret Santa, while fun, can result in thoughtless and unwanted gifts. Following an incredibly difficult year with parents struggling to make ends meet more than ever, Action for Children are encouraging people to give a gift with meaning, by purchasing a stylish celebrity-modelled sweatshirt of their choice.
In doing so they will raise vital funds for the vulnerable children and young people the charity has been supporting throughout the pandemic.
- Adult sweatshirts are available in grey and black, in sizes 8-18 for women and size S-XXL for men, all at £32.
- The sweatshirts for children are £20 and come in feather grey, from 3 to 12 years.
The festive-themed graphics inspire wearers to remember the deeper meaning of Christmas, to spread joy and think of others. The proceeds from the sale of each Secret Santa jumper will go towards continuing the charity’s important work.
Children are facing adversity this Christmas
Action for Children work to ensure children across the UK feel safe and happy, providing services which allow them to step in to help when times get tough.
Christmas should be a magical period, spending time with family and exchanging presents, but for thousands of children across the UK this will not be the case.
Due to the global pandemic and a huge change in the financial situation of many, lots of children will face adversity this Christmas.
Some will be waking up on Christmas Day homeless, others living with domestic violence or suffering from abuse and neglect, while many will be going hungry. Funds raised through the sales of the merchandise will help Action for Children to support vulnerable children like these.
A virtual carol concert… and quiz
This December Action for Children are also looking for support from the public via a range of pandemic-proof festive events, bringing cheer to everyone.
On December 8, 2020, Action for Children are hosting their very own virtual carol concert, Starry Night. Families across the UK can experience an evening of Christmas carols, exclusive performances, readings and sparkling entertainment from some famous faces. Tickets cost £10 per household.
Additionally, the charity will be announcing the line-up for their Virtual Christmas Quiz later this month!
