Small Paint Projects

If you have some paint left over, get creative with these top tips by paint specialists Annie Sloan :

If you’ve only a little leftover paint from a past project, even the smallest splash of colour can make a difference.

Think about adding a stripe or two to plain jugs and vases, or create patterns on tray and table edges.

You can get really creative with mark making, using anything from nail heads to the lid from your tine. Remember how much fun you had with finger painting and let your imagination go wild!

If you’re looking for something to keep the children occupied, try fruit and vegetable printing. Use lemons, limes, peppers, okra or whatever you have available in the kitchen to add some fun prints to napkins or an old tablecloth.

Or for grandparents like me who aren’t able to spend physical time with the grandkids, ask parents to set them up with some paper and a brush and have a Zoom painting session; ask them to paint you animals, flowers or for the older children, experiment with colour mixing.

It’s a really lovely way to bond whilst social distancing.
